Fudgy Brownies with Honey Heaven Cacao Honey

These rich, fudgy brownies are made with Honey Heaven Cacao Honey for a naturally sweet, chocolatey twist. Easy to make and irresistibly moist – perfect for any occasion.

Yields: about 12 brownies

Prep time: 15 min | Bake: 20–25 min | Cool: 20 min

Ingredients:

  • 240 ml unsweetened applesauce
  • 120 ml Honey Heaven Cacao Honey
  • 115 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (≈5 ml)
  • 125 g plain (all-purpose) flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 90 g chocolate chips (optional – dark or milk)

Method:

  1. Preheat & prep pan: Preheat your oven to 175 °C. Grease or line a 23×23 cm (9×9 inch) square baking tin with parchment.
  2. Combine wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the applesauce, Honey Heaven Cacao Honey, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: In another bowl, sift or whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Form the batter: Gently fold the dry mix into the wet until just combined - don’t overmix.
  5.  Add chocolate chips (optional): Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.
  6. Bake: Pour mixture into the prepared tin, smoothing the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a skewer/tester comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool & serve: Let the brownies cool in the tin for at least 20 minutes before slicing into 12 squares.
